Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said Saturday that he will no longer appear at a previously scheduled debate on Sept. 10 and will only debate Vice President Harris, the likely Democratic nominee, if she agrees to his terms: a debate on Sept. 4, hosted by Fox News, with a “full arena audience.”

I sincerely hope VP Harris considers Krugman's suggested replacement: a tub of lard.

Donald Trump is scared of cat ladies....he's a "scaredie cat"
in reply to BrianKrebs

@briankrebs. "A person familiar with the matter, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal planning, said the campaign held no negotiations with Trump or Fox about a new debate. Fox representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment."

Hah! Guess Fox was taken by surprise, too!

in reply to BrianKrebs

It's because a big strong burly man in a leather biker jacket came up to Trump with tears in his eyes saying, "Sir, sir! My sick meemaw can only get Fox News channel on her teevee up in the holler! You hafta change the plan! Sir! Please sir!"
in reply to BrianKrebs

In other words, if he can shout lies to an audience with no one fact-checking what he says.
in reply to BrianKrebs

Come one is ANYBODY surprised that he is a coward?

Who can forget him cowering in the bunker? #bunkerbitch

So, "I want hosts who are clearly biased toward me and an audience I can whip up vocal support from, both for my own mental health and to intimidate my opponent." Got it.

This guy seems like, to use his own words, "a choke artist".

Harris should send Secretary Pete LOL

not kidding

that would be fucking hilarious

in reply to BrianKrebs

Does his fetish involves Stomy, a magazine and Ivanka as well?
in reply to BrianKrebs

How often does one get the opportunity to say "kiss my ass" on such a grand scale?
in reply to BrianKrebs

Will he accept a debate at SoFi Stadium before a Green Day concert?
in reply to BrianKrebs

Yeah, right, where he can get one of his minions to take a shot at her. uh huh. Just shut up donny, doesn't matter what you have to say since it's all lies.

Content warning: USpol

in reply to BrianKrebs

So basically one of his idiotic rallies with hostile monkeys flinging questions at Harris like so much poo.

For DJT, it's all about The Show. That is all he knows. he has NO policy chops at all. It's just one big circus, and Trump is the big Clown act. (thanks for the gift link)

Thank you for the gift link. I am a subscriber (until tomorrow!).

Did you know the Washington Post changed their gift link policy and now requires the creation of an account in order to read a gift link? I'm only sharing this FYI. I shared gift links myself all the time and was quite surprised to discover this change. There was no obvious notice to subscribers when they changed their policy.

in reply to Magenta Rocks

@MagentaRocks I haven't shared a gift link in a while, and wasn't aware that they'd changed anything. Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to ask them what changed, b/c that does seem a bit bait and switchy.
in reply to BrianKrebs

Harris should just do a live announcement of her VP pick at the same time and completely drive him out of the news cycle
in reply to BrianKrebs

It's hilarious that in response to being called a coward and a baby, Trump just demanded that Fox throw him a rally.
in reply to BrianKrebs

Early headlines tried to get ahead of this by characterizing this as Trump "agreeing" to a debate on Fox. Characterizing this instead as Trump "backing out" of an agreed debate is more accurate.
