TIL that's a thing. Well, looks like alias wget='wcurl' it is, wget is so deep in my muscle memory I'm not sure I can remember to use something different anymore.
@chrastecky to each their own. You do things the way it works for you. I'm not pushing or trying to convince anyone into changing or using whatever we ship if they're happy without them.
