321 authors have written at least 10 lines still present in production code

96 authors have written at least 100 lines

11 authors have written at least 1000 lines

3 authors have written at least 10,000 lines

(out of 173,172 current lines of code)

I'm curious what the distribution looks like. How many lines have you in the current git blame output? Are you like 80%? 50%?

@jawnsy good question, and an opportunity for me to generate a new graph... stand by, I'll see what I can do! 😀
in reply to daniel:// stenberg://

@bagder, mine too, perhaps a tiny incrase for authors that first introduced the code, and tiny decrease for those who later modified it.

Would be interesting to see it compared, but other than curiosity, I have no use for it.

@jawnsy Oh!

I need a editor coloring lines by author, so it‘s easier to focus on rewriting Daniel‘s code.

in reply to daniel:// stenberg://

do you count lines that are still in there, or lines that were once added (possibly replacing others) but might no longer exist? I imagine the author count is about lines added at some point, and current lines of code are just those that still exist.
in reply to Toon

@to1ne this counts only lines still present in production code, which is less than a third of all the code ever added...
