so glad I moved to static hosting + #mastodon comments for my blog all those years ago. I do worry about the wider #wordpress ecosystem though. A lot of web developers make a living customising and theming wordpress.

They didn’t even check the plans page correctly on WP Engine, the cheapest plan is 25$, not 50$. If you’re trying to make fun of someone, at least try to be right for god’s sake 😁

Everybody has already told him that, he hasn’t listened. Hell, it took at least six weeks before his lawyers convinced him to stop posting on hackernews all the ways he was breaking the law…

I have no use for a managed or hosted WordPress installation, but damn if that post didn't make me want to sign up for WPEngine's services and pay them some money anyway, just to piss off Matt.
