Game developers, I am BEGGING YOU.
Please let players access the settings on your game as soon as it is launched. No, not after some cut scenes. No, not after a tutorial. IMMEDIATELY.
I might need to adjust graphics settings, especially if you have uncapped frame rate.
I might need to adjust the audio, because you don't know my setup, or preferences in regards to music volume versus effects volume.
And I might have a need to set up custom controls, be that customising what you have as defaults, or configuring e.g. an "MMO" mouse to make use of them.
This small rant brought to you by the initial experience in many games, most recently "Hardspace Shipbreaker" (which has a cool opening, but PLEASE let me at the settings first!)..
MacOS native emoji picker (that you can bring up with Control + Command + Space in any text field) now has an auto-replace suggestion feature based on the last word you typed.
Say you type "zombie" and then bring up the emoji picker, it's going to suggest either 🧟, 🧟♀️ or 🧟♂️ and if you go with any of the suggestions, it replaces the word with the selected emoji. Fine.
However, if the word was the last of a sentence and you add a period after it, the emoji picker will still suggest emojis based on the last word, but the selected emoji will be added after the period, doubling the meaning of a word you already typed.
Of course, in this case, if you want to add any other emoji like a normal non-redundant person, you have to perform an extra action. 😒

SS7 is not secure. The scam is a broadcast to SIM card IDs. They do not need your phone number, but if you interact, then you will get more spam.
Ignore. Do not text 'STOP'
"if you want to unsubscribe from this mailing list..."
You know the rest of that story.
