I never thought that printing is still such a big problem for Linux users.

I give up... can not get a network attached printer to work in openSUSE 12.3. Don't know if it is openSUSE or this #crapple CUPS. Better I install Slackware again, there the printer is working on all my other machines.

I tried already so many combinations, different protocols and drivers, but always getting one of these error messages only:Print file was not accepted.
Unable to open print file: No such file or directory
Print-Job: server-error-internal-error (server-error-internal-error)
(/usr/lib/cups/backend/ipp) stopped with status 4.
(/usr/lib/cups/filter/rastertogutenprint.5.2) did not catch or ignore signal 13.
(/usr/lib/cups/filter/gstoraster) stopped with status 13.
Backend returned status 4 (stop printer)
Unable to write print data: broken pipe.
