Take some time to learn #JOSM . It has a steep learning curve but once you get the basics you will love it and the genius effort behind it for editing.

You need to find something interesting what you can add. When I've started adding opening_hours there was only a few. Some people add payment method. Some bicycle lanes or AEDs. There are a lot of information around us.
Is there a nice POI editor for android. Long long back cloudmade has made one nice app in iphone.
By POI editor its an app to add points and their information. Very useful to update information. I dont want the overload of ways and other information.
My issue here is I want something light weight and does only one job which is to add POI. I dont want a complex map rendering engine or something huge running in the background.
