I just talked to someone from
mailbox.org and they were like
Well, you know, we are always looking for system administrators...
And I was like
Well, I'm not that good.
And they were like
It does not matter much how good you are now, more where you can be in two years.
And I was like
Well, then why don't you ask all the women who didn't even consider system administration because of socialisation?
And they were like
Well, we don't get that many applications from women, so it's not our fault.
(*sigh*, I think that's a bit naïve, and some might take it for misogyny, but I would not recommend mailbox.org if I would not think that they are generally excellent) So I am like
Well, that's definetely changeable.
So if you're – let's be realistic and broaden it up – not a white cis male, and you find all this stuff which is our modern life quite interesting and want to learn more about it and maybe have a career in it, then apply at mailbox.org. Either go by their offices or write them a mail:
