At the same time we are adding PHP 7.1 to our support matrix we are also saying goodbye to some retired PHP versions. Nextcloud 11 will no longer support PHP 5.4 and 5.5.
As many of you probably know PHP 7.1 is planned for release at the end of November. As a preparation for this we are already running our test suite against the PHP 7.1 RC1. And we feel confident that Nextcloud 11 will run smoothly on the PHP 7 ...
Just finished my work on a three-way-textmerger for both #Javascript and #PHP. You can use it whenever you have text-conflicts with two persons editing the same document. None of the existing textmergers in the internet were acurate enough for me, so I built one on my own. And es, it’s free software (MIT) as well. Enjoy!

We did it! Hundreds of our application servers are now running on PHP7 and doing just fine. By all accounts, ours is only the second project of this scale (after Etsy) to switch to PHP7.
Das PHP-Entwickerteam hat seinen Interpreter sicherer gemacht und weist darauf hin, dass der Support für Version 5.5 vor kurzem abgelaufen ist. Wer kann, sollte auf Version 5.6 umsteigen.
