What can cause #friendica homepage [strong](My post and conversations)[/strong] to slow down? I set 10 posts per page, some of my posts have 1 or 2 videos embedded, my storage setup is Current [strong]Storage Backend: Filesystem[/strong]

when i click on my home page 🏛️ I notice that my browser takes about 10 seconds to load the post content , sometimes it doesn't even load the Friendica icon , I have to click the refresh button 1 or 2 times,

Before I used to embed videos via #nextcloud, and it worked fine. But then I edited the posts by removing the embedded video from nextcloud and uploading it to friendica and embedding it as an attachment, everything else works very fast . Some suggestions... please

Hatte heute ein Date mit der besten Ehefrau von allen - online via #Nextcloud Talk. Sie oben im Wohnbereich, ich im #Keller im #Arbeitszimmer. Der Server für Nextcloud steht in #Nürnberg, der für #eturnal steht in #Helsinki. Und ja, der TURN-Server hat den Traffic eine Stunde lang brav geroutet.

Nicht nur #JustForFun, sondern Support für die lokale #Genossenschaft.

Meine heutige Tagesleistung war, die heimische Containerlandschaft hinsichtlich #Netzwerkisolierung abzusichern und #HomeAssistant in podman-compose zu integrieren. Damit ist das Ding jetzt quasi von aussen erreichbar, neben der privaten #Nextcloud.

Als dezentes Zeichen für den Erfolg habe ich einen LED-Strahler im #Arbeitszimmer blau gefärbt. Soeben kam die beste Ehefrau von allen nach dem #Gassigehen auch zu mir, aber sie hat es noch nicht mal realisiert.

Ich prangere das an!

#Nextcloud - ich bin verrückt.

Vor ein paar Tagen überraschte mich #Nextcloud an meinem Tablet mit ständigen Benachrichtigungen über misslungene Dateitransfers. Das ist wohl ein Bug vom Androidclient 3.30.1, für den es auch einen Workaround gibt: https://github.com/nextcloud/android/issues/13738

Natürlich habe ich auch auf mein Telefon geschaut, ob Nextcloud da verrückt spielt, aber es war nichts zu sehen. Heute musste ich es mal neu starten, und das erste, was auffiel, war ein Akkuverlust von mehr als 10 Prozent zu vor dem nötigen Neustart. Dann kam die SMS von der Telekom, dass mein Datenvolumen zu mehr als 80 Prozent aufgebraucht sei. Und Nextcloud spann herum wie schon Tage zuvor auf dem Tablet.

Der Workaround ist, der App alle Daten zu löschen. Unbefriedigend, da ich jetzt all meine Sync-Einstellungen wieder vornehmen muss.

In den wenigen Minuten von "Handy unresponsiv" über "Neustart" bis zu "Nextcloud beenden" waren dann mal mehr als 7 GB verbraucht.

man teilte in #nextcloud einen kalender mit mir.
ich greife auf _meine_ kalender vom desktop aus per #thunderbird zu
das funktioniert. seit jahren. gut.
man muss lediglich den link der in nextcloud neben dem kalender klickbar ist in thunderbird reinkopieren.
für den mit mir geteilten kalender gibt es diesen link nicht.
wie "abonniere"/"synce" ich kalender die mir teammitglieder geben damit wir uns miteinander koordinieren können in thunderbird?

ich bräuchte mal bitte #hilfe in #enduserfragen

Nextcloud

macht mich noch mal wahnsinnig. Wieso verdammt noch mal wird nach einer Aktualisierung der Android APP noch mal alles, wirklich alles noch mal hochgeladen? Wird da vor der Veröffentlichung nichts getestet? Mit keiner anderen OpenSource Software habe ich so viele Probleme wie mit Nextcloud.

Play => F-Droid
Authenticator => Aegis
Podcasts (RIP) => Podverse
Chrome => Firefox, Vanadium, Chromium
Voice => not replaced
Search => SearXNG

Overall, I'm really happy with the experience. It took some effort and cost some money to get things set up, but everything works about as well as the Google equivalents and the agency feels great.

In particular, I can't imagine using the web these days without uBlock Origin. Every time I see someone else's web experience I just want to say "you live like this?"

I still haven't moved away from YouTube / YouTube Music. At this point, I'm not sure I will. I know there's some functional pirate utilities, but my fam uses the subscription and I'm not super interested in trying to maintain a whole media center. Open to suggestions, tho.

Anyone else taking this journey feel like sharing their experience?
