Think like a Git
Funny to read and very helpful
When you're just getting started, something as straightforward as a merge can be terrifying. It can take a long time to really become comfortable using some of Git's more advanced features. (It took me a year or two.) Once people achieve some level of Git enlightenment, they tend to make statements of the form 'Git gets a lot easier once you realiz...

Don't trust any software vendor or service provider from the US.
• NSA and GCHQ unlock encryption used to protect emails, banking and medical records • $250m-a-year US program works covertly with tech companies to insert weaknesses into products • Security experts say programs 'undermine the fabric of the internet'

Screenshot Testing
This looks really interesting way to provide UI continuous integration testing.
Like any piece of good software, Piwik comes with a comprehensive QA suite that includes unit and integration tests. The unit tests make sure core components of Piwik work properly. The integration tests make sure Piwik’s tracking and report aggregation and APIs work properly. To complete our QA suite, we’ve recently added a new type of tests: Screenshot tests, that we use to make sure Piwik’s controller and JavaScript code works properly.

Printing under Linux still a PITA
I never thought that printing is still such a big problem for Linux users.
I give up... can not get a network attached printer to work in openSUSE 12.3. Don't know if it is openSUSE or this #crapple CUPS. Better I install Slackware again, there the printer is working on all my other machines.
I tried already so many combinations, different protocols and drivers, but always getting one of these error messages only:
Print file was not accepted.
Unable to open print file: No such file or directory
Print-Job: server-error-internal-error (server-error-internal-error)
(/usr/lib/cups/backend/ipp) stopped with status 4.
(/usr/lib/cups/filter/rastertogutenprint.5.2) did not catch or ignore signal 13.
(/usr/lib/cups/filter/gstoraster) stopped with status 13.
Backend returned status 4 (stop printer)
Unable to write print data: broken pipe.

Support Phonebloks! A phone worth keeping by Dave HakkensSomehow this #phonebloks reminds me bit on the #Jolla phone where you can at least exchange a part of the phone or even more on the KDE tablet. They create their own PCBs and processing units (EOMA-68) and can easily swap parts or the customer can buy an upgrade for the tablet.
The last news already look really impressive:
Thanks to Joe (of GPL-squared) for helping to spot some schematics errors swapping the LCD-HSYNC and VSYNC in one area and LCD-DE with HSYNC in yet another: removing one of the bank of 4 resistors and replacing it with 0.5mm wires in a tiny tangled cross-over mess allowed the picture below to be taken, which demonstrates several things: So that is ...
Revive 3.0.0 ad server (formerly known as OpenX Source)
Everyone running an OpenX Source ad server should update to Revive as soon as possible. There are again some nasty security fixes in the case you not really trust your registered users and don't want them to own your server.

Let's hope the whole development will get bit more transparent now on GitHub.

TYPO3 Smooth Migration Agency Sprint

:headbang
